A co-worker taught me to knit in the early 1980’s. I had a lot of yarn when we retired so I knit several sweaters for World Visions Knit for Kids (www.knitforkids.org). I also knit hats and scarves for Hancock Hope House as well as things for my granddaughters. A few years ago, an acquaintance who soon became a very dear friend taught me to knit socks. I love it! She gave me such confidence that I’ve branched out to sweaters and other garments.
