Kathy's Craft Project                                                                   (home)

I decided to try my hand at a little different beading technique so I recently made these ladder bracelets for myself.  The green/blue/brown looks perfect with a dress I often wear and I made the red/white/blue for patriotism.  It would probably be better if I’d used red or blue for the base instead of white, but I like it ok.

There was a nice thrift store across the street from the park where we stayed in St. Petersburg last winter so I bought all these ties for less than $1.00 each, thinking I could make something for our church craft sales.  I made this purse which I’m still not sure I like and have enough ties to make more wristlets or something else.

My niece Emma is starting her first year as an elementary special ed. Teacher and asked if I could make a tent for her classroom.  Her dad made a very nice tent frame, so the fabric drapes over it with sleeves on each end for the PVC base to slide through.  Here is her cute, jungle-themed classroom.  Her dad also made the wooden bookcase and she made the crate seats.

I FINALLY finished our bed quilt, but will wait to reveal it in our new (and much larger) bedroom.  It definitely won’t matter what color we paint the room as this quilt is so colorful it will go with anything!
